Hello everyone!

I was checking my email this morning and among the many newsletters I subscribe to, this forecast was from Sherwin Williams and supplied by Home Decor (a magazine and e-newsletter for the trade.) I thought I would pass it along to all of you who like to stay abreast of what’s happening in the world of design and home furnishings.

The article was entitled World Cultures Shape Color Trends and they went ahead to name four different design directions from which the palette is derived. Those areas are:

Around The World a collection inspired by carved furniture, ethnic and animal prints, decorative embellishments and fashion trends such as fringed Bohemian handbags and luxe textured fabrics

Fork In The Road where you’ll see colors reminiscent of the sights of brightly colored saris, rickshaws trimmed in shocking hues and energetic colors that glow in the sunlight

The No Place Like Home which bridges the gap between the classic colors of past and future. Exposed ceiling beams, natural fibers, decorative concrete floors and anything that is eco-friendly make up this category

Expand Your Horizons is a category which features high-gloss finishes, lacquered surfaces and saturated hues. Colors are fresher than we’ve seen before.

The colors are not online yet, but if you’d like to see the palette for 2007 click here for a downloadable pdf brochure provided by Sherwin Williams.

That’s it for today. Keep creating!

Debra
